Random encounter-characters from the original game, can be seen in a bar (called the cafe of broken dreams) high outdoorsman skill needed. Star wars- as you enter klamath or new reno (cant rember which) a pedestrian will say "you will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villany"
Knights searching for the holy hand grenade (already mentioned) Knights of NEEE- occaisionly seen as a random encounter hunting for a shruberrey.
